If you think magic tricks are for kids, you’ve clearly never been to a Trickery Chicago Magic Show. While kids 12 and older are welcome to attend, it’s really geared toward a grown-up audience—as you might be able to guess from the BYO policy and the mix of evening showtimes, including a few late-night options. You can start or end your evening at the Trickery’s magic show depending on which time you choose. Shows kick off as early as 4 p.m. and as late as 9 p.m. Bring your favorite bottle of wine, craft beer from a local brewery, or canned cocktail to sip on as you sit in the audience. But don’t get too comfortable because audience participation is often required in order for the magician to perform his surprising and often uproarious tricks! Tickets start at $32 per person, and it’s recommended to purchase them online in advance of showtime. Cups and bottle openers are provided as needed but note that the venue does not provide ice. If you’re looking for a fun way to host a party, consider renting out the entire space for a private magic show!
