When summer rolls into Chicago, you can always count on Millennium Park for fun after-work entertainment, and this season is no different. In addition to its outdoor concerts and free fitness classes on the lawn, the Millennium Park Summer Film Series brings fresh-air movie screenings to the Loop as it does every year.

There's something different about the series this summer, however. Before each feature film begins, you'll see a short movie crafted by a Chicago-based filmmaker, part of the ChicagoMade Shorts Series. Come to the Jay Pritzker Pavilion every Tuesday evening through August 21st (except for the week of July 9th, when the movie falls on Monday at 11 a.m.) to enjoy a free film. This year's lineup includes Iron Giant, Get Out, Coco, and Slumdog Millionaire, to name just a few. The mix of contemporary and classic movies ensures there's something for everyone.
